Join us for a Rockpool Adventure along the stunning shores of the English Riviera!
This session is the perfect opportunity to explore Torbay’s beaches and rocky foreshore at low tide, uncovering the hidden world of crabs, starfish, anemones and more.
Led by local host Dan, an oceanography expert, marine consultant and B&B owner with all the local knowledge. Sometimes the whole family joins too, adding their own insights and tips along the way!

Accessibility & Safety
The walk covers uneven rocky shores — slippery rocks and seaweed are common
Accessible parking is available at some meeting points, but not all beaches are wheelchair-accessible
Children must be supervised at all times by their accompanying adult
Assistance dogs only; the terrain may not be safe for them

Duration: Approx. 90 minutes
Distance: Short walk along beaches and rocky foreshore
Difficulty: Easy–Moderate (uneven and slippery rocks in places)
What to wear: Welly boots or sturdy shoes you don’t mind getting wet. Neoprene boots or shoes are good options too. Dress in layers for unpredictable weather
We provide: all the equipment needed for the session (please do not bring nets)
Booking: Session times vary with the tides to ensure the best conditions. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive an email with the meeting location. Please note the meeting place may change due to weather or tide conditions; we’ll contact you in advance with updated details if needed.
Refund Policy
We reserve the right to cancel these rockpool adventures if they are deemed to be unsafe due to weather conditions, in this case you will be offered a refund or can transfer your booking to a different date, dependent on availability.
Tickets are non-refunable.
Hard-copy tickets are not issued. Please have your booking confirmation email ready on your mobile device on the day of your rockpool adventure.
